Applications
Barite earns its place two ways — extreme density for drilling and radiation shielding, and chemical inertness for fillers and pigments.
Oil & Gas Drilling Fluids
Weighting agent controlling formation pressure in water and oil-based muds.
Paints & Coatings
Inert extender giving body, opacity and chemical resistance.
Plastics & Rubber
Density and stiffness filler in masterbatch and compounds.
Radiation Shielding Concrete
High-density aggregate for medical and nuclear walls.
Barium Chemicals
Feedstock for barium carbonate, chloride and hydroxide.
Automotive Friction Products
Filler in brake pads and clutch linings.
Glass & Ceramics
Fluxing and brightening agent in specialty glass.
Paper Coating
Filler and coating pigment for high-gloss grades.
Medical Contrast Media
Refined barium sulfate for radiographic imaging.
Packaging, Logistics & Trading Terms
How we package, certify and ship bulk barite. Terms can be adapted by agreement — tell us what your operation needs.
- Minimum Order Quantity
- 1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
- Packaging
- Bulk, 1–1.5 MT woven jumbo bags (single or four-loop), or 25 kg / 50 kg PP bags. Lump supplied in bulk or jumbo bag.
- Incoterms & Loading Ports
- EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF (Incoterms® 2020). Standard loading at Bandar Abbas and Bandar Imam Khomeini; other ports by arrangement.
- Quality Certification
- Batch-specific CoA with every shipment covering specific gravity, sieve residue, soluble alkaline earth metals and clay content, tested to API 13A. SGS / Bureau Veritas inspection at buyer’s cost.
- Lead Time
- 7–14 days for standard grades after order confirmation; 15–25 days for custom-milled or specially packed material.
- Storage & Handling
- Store dry and covered. Barite is chemically inert and non-combustible with no shelf-life limit, but caking is possible if bags take on moisture. Avoid generating dust when handling — the ore contains a small crystalline silica fraction.
Certificate of Analysis
A batch-specific CoA is issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.
