Minimum Order Quantity
1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
Packaging
Bulk, 1–1.5 MT woven jumbo bags (single or four-loop), or 25 kg / 50 kg PP bags. Lump supplied in bulk or jumbo bag.
Incoterms & Loading Ports
EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF (Incoterms® 2020). Standard loading at Bandar Abbas and Bandar Imam Khomeini; other ports by arrangement.
Quality Certification
Batch-specific CoA with every shipment covering specific gravity, sieve residue, soluble alkaline earth metals and clay content, tested to API 13A. SGS / Bureau Veritas inspection at buyer’s cost.

Storage & Handling
Store dry and covered. Barite is chemically inert and non-combustible with no shelf-life limit, but caking is possible if bags take on moisture. Avoid generating dust when handling — the ore contains a small crystalline silica fraction.

Certificate of Analysis

A batch-specific CoA is issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.

Barite — Frequently Asked Questions

Does your drilling barite meet API 13A?
Yes. Our 4.20 grade is tested against API 13A and NISOC methods by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. A representative certificate shows density 4.21 g/cm³, residue on No. 200 sieve 2.04 %wt against a 3 %wt limit, soluble alkaline earth metals as calcium 160 ppm against a 250 ppm limit, and clay content 2.75 lb/bbl against a 3 lb/bbl limit.
What is the difference between 4.20 and 4.10 barite?
Specific gravity, and therefore how much mud weight you get per sack. The 4.20 grade is the standard API 13A drilling weight; the 4.10 grade is an economy weighting agent for shallower wells or where mud weight requirements are lower. The 4.10 material carries a higher iron and silica fraction, which is why its barium content is lower.
Which barite grade suits paint and plastics?
The white barite powder. It runs 95.18% BaSO₄ with 91% whiteness, specific gravity minimum 4.40 and iron below 0.04%, so it will not discolour a light-coloured system. For a barium chemicals feedstock the high-purity lump at 63.81% BaO is the right starting material.
How is barite packed and shipped?
Bulk, 1–1.5 MT woven jumbo bags, or 25 kg / 50 kg PP bags. Powder grades are normally jumbo-bagged; lump ships in bulk. Standard loading is FOB Bandar Abbas, with CFR and CIF available to most destination ports.
What is the minimum order quantity for barite?
One 20 ft container, approximately 25 MT, for bagged material. Bulk vessel shipments start at 500 MT. Trial quantities can be arranged so you can qualify the material before a full order.
Are there handling precautions for barite?
Barite itself is chemically inert and insoluble. However, natural barite ore contains a small crystalline silica (quartz) fraction, so avoid generating airborne dust, use local exhaust ventilation where dust is likely, and wear a NIOSH-approved dust mask when handling loose material. A full MSDS is issued with every shipment.
