Urea Supplier & Exporter — Granular Urea 46% Nitrogen

CO(NH₂)₂ Granular Urea · Nitrogen 46% Min

Granular urea at 46% minimum nitrogen with biuret below 1% and moisture below 0.5% — the highest-nitrogen solid fertilizer in commercial use. Screened so at least 90% falls in the 2–4 mm band that spreads evenly at width, tested to ISO methods, and shipped in bulk or bags with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.

Granular Urea — Full Technical Analysis

Five properties decide a urea cargo: how much nitrogen it carries, how much biuret came with it, how wet it is, how it screens, and how it was conditioned.

Formaldehyde is the anti-caking conditioner applied during granulation, not a contaminant. Because of it this grade is a fertilizer and feed-blending urea — if you need technical urea for diesel exhaust fluid or resin work, ask for that grade specifically at enquiry stage.

If none of the grades above matches your target chemistry, fineness, or packaging, tell us your requirements — we produce custom grades to your exact specification.

Applications

Urea is bought for one number — 46% nitrogen, the densest solid nitrogen you can ship — but it ends up in far more than a fertilizer spreader.

Broadacre Fertilizer

Direct-applied nitrogen for cereals, rice, cane and pasture.

NPK Blending

Nitrogen component in bulk-blended and compound fertilizers.

UAN Solution

Dissolved with ammonium nitrate for liquid fertigation.

Urea-Formaldehyde Resins

Adhesives for particleboard, MDF and plywood.

Melamine Production

Feedstock for melamine resins and laminates.

Animal Feed (NPN)

Non-protein nitrogen supplement in ruminant rations.

Flue-Gas NOx Reduction

Reagent in SNCR systems on boilers and kilns.

Cosmetics & Pharma

Humectant and keratolytic in creams and topicals.

Textiles & Dyeing

Solubilising and swelling agent in reactive dyeing.

Packaging, Logistics & Trading Terms

How we bag, certify and ship granular urea. Terms can be adapted by agreement — tell us what your operation needs.

Minimum Order Quantity
1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
Packaging
50 kg PP bags with polyethylene inner liner, 1–1.5 MT jumbo bags, or bulk vessel. Humid destinations should specify the moisture-barrier liner.
Incoterms & Loading Ports
EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF (Incoterms® 2020). Standard loading at Bandar Abbas and Bandar Imam Khomeini; other ports by arrangement.
Quality Certification
Batch-specific CoA with every shipment covering nitrogen, biuret, moisture and particle size to ISO methods. SGS / Bureau Veritas inspection at buyer’s cost.
Lead Time
7–14 days for standard grades after order confirmation; 15–25 days for custom-milled or specially packed material.
Storage & Handling
Store in a dry, covered, well-ventilated warehouse on pallets, away from the floor and from acids and oxidisers. Urea is hygroscopic and will cake if bags take on moisture; keep bulk piles covered and avoid repeated handling, which breaks granules down into dust and ruins the spreading pattern.

Certificate of Analysis

A batch-specific CoA is issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.

Urea — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between granular and prilled urea?
Particle size and crush strength. Granular urea is built up in a fluid bed to 2–4 mm and is hard enough to spread at wide bout widths and to survive blending with phosphate and potash. Prilled urea is smaller, around 1–2 mm, softer, and is generally used where it will be dissolved or applied by hand. Our standard export grade is granular, with 90% minimum in the 2–4 mm band.
Why does biuret content matter?
Biuret forms when urea is overheated during production, and it is phytotoxic. Above roughly 1% it scorches foliage, which is why the limit matters most for foliar sprays and for sensitive crops such as citrus and pineapple. Our specification is 1% maximum, reported on every certificate.
Can this urea be used for diesel exhaust fluid?
No. This is a fertilizer and feed-blending grade conditioned with up to 0.55% formaldehyde as an anti-caking agent, and DEF / AdBlue requires technical urea with no such additive and much tighter metal limits. Tell us if you need the technical grade and we will quote it separately.
What packaging is available for urea?
50 kg PP bags with a polyethylene inner liner, 1–1.5 MT jumbo bags, or bulk vessel loading. For humid destinations we recommend the moisture-barrier liner — urea is hygroscopic and a cargo that sweats in transit arrives caked.
How should urea be stored?
Dry, covered, off the floor and well ventilated, away from acids and strong oxidisers. Urea absorbs moisture readily and will cake into a solid mass if bags are stacked in a humid shed. Handled gently and kept dry it has no practical shelf-life limit.
What is the minimum order quantity for urea?
One 20 ft container, approximately 25 MT, for bagged material. Bulk vessel shipments start at 500 MT. Trial quantities can be arranged for qualification before a full order.
