Which Salt Do You Need?

Both are sodium chloride. The difference is how much of everything else came along with it, and what physical form it arrives in.

Bespoke Production

Need a different purity, grain size or tablet format?

Grain size, purity, tablet dimensions and packaging can all be produced to specification, including iodised and food-grade formats. Send us your requirements and we will confirm feasibility and lead time.

Logistics & Trading Terms

The commercial terms we work to on every salt shipment. Anything here can be adjusted by agreement — tell us what your operation needs.

Minimum Order Quantity
1 × 20 ft container (approx. 25 MT) bagged. 500 MT minimum for bulk vessel. Trial quantities available for qualification.
Packaging
25 kg PP bags, 1–1.5 MT jumbo bags, 1200 kg palletized units, or bulk. Moisture-proof PE lining available on request.
Incoterms & Loading Ports
EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF (Incoterms® 2020). Standard loading at Bandar Abbas and Bandar Imam Khomeini; other ports by arrangement.
Quality Certification
Batch-specific CoA with every shipment covering NaCl purity, calcium, magnesium, sulfate, insoluble matter, moisture and heavy metals. SGS / Bureau Veritas inspection at buyer’s cost.
Lead Time
7–14 days for standard grades after order confirmation; 15–25 days for custom-milled or specially packed material.
Storage & Handling
Store dry and covered, bags sealed and off the ground. Salt is hygroscopic above about 75% relative humidity, and absorbed moisture causes caking and, in tablet form, surface bridging.

Certificate of Analysis

A batch-specific CoA is issued with every shipment. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.

Ready to quote

Send us your grade, tonnage, destination port and packaging and we will return a firm FOB/CFR/CIF price with lead time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from industrial buyers sourcing salt in bulk.

What is the minimum order quantity for salt?
Our standard MOQ is one 20 ft container (approximately 25 MT) for bagged salt. For bulk vessel shipments the minimum is 500 MT. Trial and sample quantities can be arranged so you can qualify the material before committing to a full order.
Which Incoterms do you trade salt under?
We quote EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF under Incoterms® 2020. Most export orders ship FOB Bandar Abbas or FOB Bandar Imam Khomeini, with CFR and CIF available to most destination ports on request.
Do you issue a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis accompanies every shipment covering NaCl purity, calcium, magnesium, sulfate, insoluble matter, moisture, alkalinity and heavy metals. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector of your choice can be arranged at the buyer’s cost.
What is the difference between tablet salt and industrial rock salt?
Purity and form. Tablet salt is refined, recrystallised and pressed into 24 × 18 mm tablets at 99.9% NaCl with no anti-caking agent added — it is made for water softener brine tanks, where insolubles would foul the resin bed. Industrial rock salt is mined material, crushed or graded, and is the economic choice for chlor-alkali feedstock, dyeing, drilling fluids and de-icing. See the tablet salt analysis for full figures.
How should salt be stored?
Dry and covered, with bags sealed and kept off the ground. Sodium chloride is hygroscopic above roughly 75% relative humidity; once it takes up moisture it cakes, and tablets bridge in the brine tank. For humid destinations we recommend moisture-proof PE-lined bags.
What is the lead time for a salt order?
Standard grades ship within 7 to 14 days of order confirmation. Custom grain sizes, tablet formats or specially packed material typically require 15 to 25 days depending on volume and destination port.
